A brand new image from "Watchmen" has been shared out by director Zack Snyder. Posted exclusively via EW.com, the freshly-released picture reportedly exhibits one of the footage to be seen in the film's opening scene. Through the photo, it can be seen that Rorschach is preparing to shoot a grappling gun into the Comedian's apartment while investigating the former hero's mysterious death.
Beside giving out the Rorschach still, Snyder also revealed that the settlement between 20th Century Fox and Warner Bros. over "Watchmen" distribution rights comes as "a big relief" to him. To EW, the "300" helmer who has just launched a website for his production company Cruel and Unusual Films further elaborated his comment, "I'm glad that cooler heads prevailed and the fans are not going to have to resort to any criminal acts. I'm half-joking. I'm glad there's that kind of passion [about the movie], I guess."
Set to hit U.S. big screen on March 6, "Watchmen" is adapted from Alan Moore and Dave Gibbons' comic book series of the same title. It follows superhero-turned-vigilante Rorschach as he investigates the murder of his former colleague and discovers much more than a simple homicide case. Written by David Hayter and Alex Tse, it features the likes of Jeffrey Dean Morgan, Billy Crudup, Matthew Goode, Jackie Earle Haley, Malin Akerman and Patrick Wilson.
