U2, Kid Rock Joining This Year's Grammys Performers Lineup

U2 and Kid Rock have been revealed as musicians, who are set to rock the stage of 2009 Grammy Awards, in addition to Rihanna, Katy Perry, Jonas Brothers and Lil Wayne.

AceShowbiz - U2, Kid Rock, Robert Plant and Alison Krauss have been added as musical acts for stars-studded show of 2009 Grammy Awards. They are joined by previously-revealed performers, which include T.I., Radiohead, Rihanna and Paul McCartney.

While U2 are not on the nominations list of the 51st Annual Grammy Awards, Kid Rock has been announced as one of the musicians receiving multiple nods at the event. He is up against John Mayer, Paul McCartney, Jason Mraz, Ne-Yo and James Taylor for Best Male Pop Vocal Performance title. He also competes for an award in Best Rock Album category with Coldplay, Kings of Leon, Metallica and The Raconteurs.

As previously reported, T.I. will be collaborating with Jay-Z, Lil Wayne and Kanye West, singing his hit single "Swagga Like Us". The rapper is also going to make a duet with Justin Timberlake on another song, which is yet to be disclosed.

The 2009 Grammy Awards will take place on February 8 at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and broadcast live on CBS from 08:00 - 11:30 P.M. (ET/PT). Other performers confirmed to deliver songs at the upcoming show are Kenny Chesney, Coldplay, Jonas Brothers, Carrie Underwood, Jennifer Hudson and Katy Perry.
