A trailer for post-apocalyptic thriller "Carriers" has surfaced via Quiet Earth. The promotional video opens with descriptions over several epidemics that have hit civilizations throughout the century from the 1347's Black Death to the latest, the Avian Flu. It then continues by showing the devastating result of the latest plague and how four friends are making their way out from the infected area to survive.
Telling the story when a deadly virus has spread across the globe, "Carriers" follows four people as they try to make their way to secluded utopian beach in the Gulf of Mexico in order to survive the apocalyptic disease. Traveling through the back roads of the American West, their retreat plans take a grim turn as they set off a chain of events, leading them to a deadly battle against infected children, homicidal doctors, crazed survivalists, rabid dogs, and each other.
Starring Chris Pine, Piper Perabo, Lou Taylor Pucci and Christopher Meloni, this horror thriller comes from David Pastor and Alex Pastor, who both directed the movie and penned the script. The Paramount Vantage film has yet to have its release date listed.
