The suspension of Shia LaBeouf's driver's license took effect on Saturday, January 17 and will last a minimum of one year.

AceShowbiz - Cleared off DUI charges, stemming from a car accident that happened in 2008, Shia LaBeouf is having his driver's license suspended by the authorities as a result of refusing a blood-alcohol test on the night of the accident. The suspension took effect on Saturday, January 17 and will last a minimum of one year, the California Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) has confirmed.
No comments have been issued by Shia concerning the suspension. His people also haven't issue a single word on that matter.
Shia LaBeouf was involved in a car crash in Hollywood on July 27 last year. He was reportedly making a left turn at a West Hollywood intersection when his green Ford F150 pickup struck another car and rolled over twice. He suffered injuries to his left hand and knee, as well as a minor head injury.
Declared to be intoxicated when the accident took place, the actor was cited before then released on suspicion of misdemeanor DUI. Back in late September, the L.A. County District Attorney's Office announced that Shia was freed from DUI charges on the grounds of insufficient evidence. Prosecutors, on the other hand, decided to press charges against driver of the other vehicle who was found to have run a red light, it was confirmed at that time.
