Barack Obama has, on Tuesday afternoon, January 20, delivered a speech in front of a huge crowd who witnessed him being sworn as the 44th president of the United States of America. During his inaugural speech, which took approximately 20 minutes, he addressed on such issues as economy crisis, education, health care, and many others that the nation is dealing.

"My fellow citizens, I stand here today humbled by the task before us, grateful for the trust you have bestowed, mindful of the sacrifices borne by our ancestors," Barack began his speech. "I thank President Bush for his service to our nation, as well as the generosity and cooperation he has shown throughout this transition."

"Forty-four Americans have now taken the presidential oath. The words have been spoken during rising tides of prosperity and the still waters of peace. Yet, every so often the oath is taken amidst gathering clouds and raging storms," he continued. "At these moments, America has carried on not simply because of the skill or vision of those in high office, but because We the People have remained faithful to the ideals of our forbearers, and true to our founding documents."

Barack Obama's presidential inauguration, taking place at the nation's Capitol, was telecast on many TV networks, like CNN, ABC, ESPN, and MTV just to name a few.

20th january 2009 is a day that the world will never forget because prophecy, hope and fate came to fullfilment in the history of USA as Barack Obama took the oath of office throwing to the world a splendid and bralliant speech that pears the spear of change in the hearts and minds of the Citizens of United States of America. However, the world is watching with all eargerness to see the effect of the speech. may God bless America and Help Obama because leadership is not by might nor by knowledge but by God's Wisdom

a day of hope ...a day of lights.... a day of greetings it was....but this is not first time that common people around the world have once again associated their hopes with an other president.. rhetorically it was a fantastic speech ...but lets see what happens in future.... honestly speaking i am not expecting much...coz once again it was corporate supported election campaign for Obama.....

This gose to show that, the dream was a realty waiting to be fulfiled. It took decades but it came, that day that a Negro ( NIGA ) became the number one citizen of the world, the American president. Barack's speech says it all.

Watching Obama's inauguration two days ago, I was assailed by a myriad of thoughts and images. As I watched Obama take the oath of office surrounded by the evocative symbols of American Heritage, The Lincoln and Washington Memorials to the fore and aft, the marbled splendour of the dome of the Capitol keeping watch in the background, what struck me was how even the most unlikely outcomes could be attained when good men, flying in the face of all perceived wisdom, obdurately stick to their guns in the pursuit of truth and justice. For the ceremony we witnessed two days ago was the culmination of a long struggle, inspired by a Preacher's dream, and sustained by the blood, sweat and tears of Thousands who fought to attain what at the time seemed a utopian ideal, the belief that we are all created equal and have the same claims to opportunity and happiness.
