In recent interview, Harry Potter's depicter, Daniel Radcliffe, reveals that 'Half-Blood Prince' attempts to balance between the darkness and comedy to meet audiences half-way.

AceShowbiz - "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" won't be focused merely on the growing darkness. In an interview with Herald Sun, the adventure fantasy's lead actor Daniel Radcliffe suggests that the movie is expected to balance between the darkness and the comedy.

"I think the thing we certainly tried to do in this one was strike a balance between the darkness,'' the-19-year-old insists. "I mean, the one thing when I read the script I could always yearn for was more darkness and more of that real intense stuff, because I enjoy doing that more, but hopefully this time we have struck a balance between that darkness and a certain comedy in this film."

On the comedy part, the actor who made his acting debut in television explains, "And what I think we've managed to do is not make it that kind of comedy that is farcical and pulling faces. It's not that kind of comedy at all, it's much more subtle than that and hopefully people will find it funny - that's the aim anyway."

"Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" has been reported to be rated PG. Directed by "Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix" helmer David Yates, it follows Harry when the threat to the wizarding world by the evil dark wizard Lord Voldemort grows even stronger by day. Starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson among others, it will blast into the U.K. and U.S. big screen on July 17.
