The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards give their Best Performance of Actor and Actress in TV for Anna Paquin of 'True Blood' and Gabriel Bryne of 'In Treatment'.

AceShowbiz - HBO are having a sweep at the 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards. After Gabriel Byrne wins the Best Performance by an Actor in a TV Series- Drama category for his role as Paul in "In Treatment", Anna Paquin is selected as the winner for the Actress counterpart, thanks to her performance as Sookie Stackhouse on Vampire drama "True Blood".

Anna who said that sucking blood is "hot" in her acceptance speech, defeats Sally Field, Mariska Hargitay, January Jones and Kyra Sedgwick upon winning. Gabriel meanwhile, kicks out his competition that includes Michael C. Hall, John Hamm, Hugh Laurie and Jonathan Rhys-Meyers.

Moments later Laura Linney is announced as the winner of Best Performance by an Actress in a Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV. Laura plays Abigail Adams in HBO's mini series "John Adams". Her prize is presented by Maggie Gyllenhaal and Aaron Eckhart. Also announced was Best Mini Series or Motion Picture Made for TV which goes to "John Adams".

The 66th Annual Golden Globe Awards are being aired live by NBC from The Beverly Hilton starting at 8 P.M. EST. Earlier on the day, Tom Wilkinson grabbed Best Supporting Actor in a TV Show/Miniseries for "John Adams," while Laura Dern of "Recount" won for the Actress part. More are coming up as the winners, including those in Motion Picture.
