'Mad Men' Stretched to Third Season on AMC

AMC President, Charlie Collier, said that the Emmy-award winning series 'Mad Men' will be extended to another season although a deal with the creator is not yet struck.

AceShowbiz - Amidst the dispute between the creator and producer Lionsgate regarding the extension of contract, "Mad Men" has been stretched to have its third season. The AMC -broadcast drama about '60s advertising executives, will roll its camera in a few weeks to come and premiere its new season in Summer, Variety reported.

Creator slash executive producer Matthew Weiner's contract wound down at the end of second season and no new deal has been reached regarding the third season. However, AMC president, Charlie Collier said that he is positive that a deal will be sealed between the company and Wiener. "As long as we get the writers' room up and running over the next few months, we're fine (for a summer launch)," Collier said.

"Mad Men" has been the center of attention in the awards season for it garners multiple nominations including three at the Golden Globes and another three at the SAG Awards.
