Bruce Springsteen will reportedly be performing at Washington D.C.'s National Mall on January 18 in celebration of Barack Obama's presidential inauguration.

AceShowbiz - Singer/songwriter Bruce Springsteen has been rumored to make a live appearance at one of Barack Obama's inauguration week welcome events. He will be singing at Washington D.C.'s National Mall on January 18, according to The Washington Post.

As part of Obama's inauguration festivities, a nonprofit youth voter group Declare Yourself's inauguration kickoff event will also be held reportedly with Jessica Alba as its host. Taking place on the same day Springsteen performing at National Mall, the show is said to have Maroon 5 singing live and Samantha Ronson rocking behind her turn-table.

In related news, Oprah Winfrey has slammed down rumor saying that she will be sponsoring one of the balls celebrating Obama's victory. "I don't know about the party thing yet ... There is extreme party confusion," she says in an interview.

Bruce Springsteen is known as a big supporter of Barack Obama. During Obama's presidential campaign back in November, Springsteen was playing at a series of benefit shows in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan in support of him.
