'Music is my back-up plan if acting fails. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket,' Robert Pattinson says.

AceShowbiz - Robert Pattinson has revealed he would love to lie his hands in music industry if his acting career doesn't go well. "Music is my back-up plan if acting fails. I don't want to put all my eggs in one basket," he tells The Los Angeles Times.

On fans' reaction to his plan of making music, Robert is worried they will think that he is just trying to "cash in." He says, "That's what I was scared about, it looks like I'm trying to get a music career out of it or something."

"I've never really recorded anything," Robert adds. "I just played in pubs and stuff - and I really didn't want it to look like I was trying to cash in. I hope it doesn't come across as that. I'm not going to be doing any music videos or anything."

On "Twilight" itself, two of Robert's songs have been included as the movie's soundtracks in addition to Paramore's hit single "Decode". The two tracks are called "Never Think" and "Let Me Sign", the latter which is available in a digital version only.

In regard of the songs' inclusion to the soundtrack LP, Robert finds it "strange." He explains, "It's strange because what was supposed to be at that point in the movie was a big orchestral film climax. Instead it's this little song with acoustic guitar."

Earlier in December 2008, Robert Pattinson stated that he plays in a band tentatively called Bad Girls. "The band belongs to my first girlfriend's current boyfriend and he was having an open mic night. He invited me to sing, but it was just a bit of fun - that was about six months ago. I don't know where that's going to go," he said.
