Mariah Carey has just premiered a new version of 'Hero' music video, which gives a look at her singing the song in the studio during the recording session.

AceShowbiz - A new music video in support of Mariah Carey's re-recorded version of her classic "Hero" has been debuted. The video shows her walking into recording room accompanied by her dog, lingering in the studio and singing to the song. Sometimes, it is also intercepted with a scene of the Big Apple's city view during the night.

"Hero" is a self-penned ballad song which is produced by Mariah herself teaming up with Walter Afanasieff. The track was originally recorded by Mariah Carey for her 1993 third studio album "Music Box" but then re-recorded for her upcoming compilation LP "The Ballads".

Becoming the third compilation album after 1998 "#1's" and 2001 "Greatest Hits", "The Ballads" will be dropped in the market across U.S. on January 20. Beside lining up "Hero", it also includes Mariah's top-selling ballads over the course of her career, including "One Sweet Day", "Vision of Love", "Always Be My Baby" and "Dreamlover".
