Details of the tragic passing of Jett Travolta, John Travolta's son, have been shared out. Talking to Radar Online, Marcus Garvey, the chief of the EMT crew responding to the distressed call from the Travolta's family, recounted the rescue attempt to save Jett's life on Friday morning, January 2, revealing that both John and his wife, Kelly Preston, begged their son to wake up.
In the interview with the site, Garvey stated that when he arrived on the scene, the unconscious Jett had been moved into a hallway and a doctor was performing CPR. He further revealed that the 16-year-old had a hematoma. "There was a minimum amount of blood," he said, stating that it was consistent with someone who had just had a seizure.
Garvey, in addition, told Radar that when the boy was rushed to the hospital, John and Kelly insisted that they rode the ambulance with their son. Recalling the moment in the ambulance, he revealed that the two held their son's hand, saying "Come on baby, come on Jett." Moreover, Garvey shared that after Jett was pronounced dead, John took time to thank the EMT, saying "He tapped me on the shoulder and said, 'Good job, good job'."
Meanwhile, as the details of the reviving attempt came out, the Travolta family posted a message on the actor's official site, Travolta.com, on Sunday, January 4. In the first public statement coming out following the tragic death of Jett Travolta, John and Kelly thanked those who have shown supports for the family as well as noted their heartbreak over the incident.
"We would like to extend our deepest and most heartfelt thanks to everyone who has sent their love and condolences," the message began. "Jett was the most wonderful son that two parents could ever ask for and lit up the lives of everyone he encountered. We are heartbroken that our time with him was so brief. We will cherish the time we had with him for the rest of our lives."
"We have received many messages of condolence from around the world and we want to thank everyone for their prayers and support. It has meant so much to us. It is a beautiful reminder of the inherent goodness in the human spirit that gives us hope for a brighter future," read the end part of the statement signed by John, Kelly and their daughter Ella.

Dear John & Kelly, I know exactly and feel your pain. I too have lost my beautiful, precious daughter Michele. She died on the 8th Feb/09 from a rare form of cancer that was diagnosed only on the 2nd Sept/08. I miss her so much and God should of taken me instead of her. She loved life and had so many things yet to do. She was not married but newly engaged. I to have another child a son Jorge who is 30yrs old. My husband, my son and I miss our girl so very much. I just want to be with her. I asked for her to come and visit me and let me know she is ok. But, she hasn't come to me yet. I cry most of the day and I'm unable to push through this and find my way back to work or any kind of normalacy. My son and husband worry for me and that saddens me as well. It all saddens me that my Michele is gone and that my husband, son and I have to live for the rest of our lives with this profound sadness, and loss. I just don't know how any parent can go on without their child being in their lives. I just don't know. John or Kelly if either of you can give me any comfort on how to push through this I would greatly appreciate it. I know you are going through your own grief but I'm just so not coping. THE TRUTH IS Marcus Garvey is a dayum LIAR...I know for a fact that he was lying about trying to save Jett. He never came within five feet of The Travolta's. He was not even the EMT involved on the call. He was duped by RadarOnline to falsefy the interview..SHAME
TO: John, Kelly & Ella Bleu, Through the years I've come to believe that children w/ special needs are given to special parents as I was so blessed 45 years ago w/ a special needs child who has grown into a fine young man. I have always told him that if I could have chosen anyone on earth for my son, I'd choose him. Perhaps you hadn't noticed that your son Jett was so angelic in all of his photos... Always, remember him as your families Guardian Angel. John I respect you for wanting to be the one to fly your family (including Jett's ashes) back to your home in Florida to his final resting place. In some cases like when my late husband was murdered and also w/ my brothers death there are always 2-death certificates. The first very basic is released w/ the body and the second comes back a couple of months later. The second one is no one elses business just the family and if the general public doesn't understand that too bad... apparently they've never been through such heartache and sorrow. Love, Hugs & Prayers To You & Yours. Respectfully, Patricia & (son) Michael
God and all the worlds people who love you all wraps their arms around you all and hugs hard with great tears but the day will surely come when you hurt much less, can laugh at things knowing jett is happy right there with you. He wouldn't want you to be unhappy! he would want you to go on and live your life to the fullest. You will be with him again. love to all. your a good man john, with a great family, take care of your beautiful daughter, you will be happy again, promise.
John I have watch you since welcome back kotter days. I loved everything you have done. When I heard about Jett I was so saddened by your loss. I did not know it was so easy to care about someone you did not really know. But you really feel the sadness. I am so sorry. My little daughter has seizures so i know how scarey they are. My love and prayers I send to you Kelly Ella. May God hold you near during this terrible time. I Believe God gives a memory to help us through these times so we can think about all the lovely times we had with the one we lost and it and time help us through it.
Death is nothing at all I have only slipped away into the next room I am I and you are you Whatever we were to each other That we are still Call me by my old familiar name Speak to me in the easy way you always used Put no difference into your tone Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow Laugh as we always laughed At the little jokes we always enjoyed together Play, smile, think of me, pray for me Let my name be ever the household word that it always was Let it be spoken without effort Without the ghost of a shadow in it Life means all that it ever meant It is the same as it ever was There is absolute unbroken continuity What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind Because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you for an interval Somewhere very near Just around the corner All is well. Nothing is past; nothing is lost One brief moment and all will be as it was before How we shall laugh at the trouble of parting when we meet again! My deepest condolances for the greatest loss a parent can suffer..JB Malta
What a horrible tragedy. Our family is so sorry for your loss. Not much at this very moment may make sense, but Jehovah God did not intend on man ever having to die. Thanks to Him, He has the power and the desire to undue all the suffering you are having now. May he help you be strong and endure. Jett's future is in Jehovah's hands now...that's the safest and best place to be. Sending you our heartfelt love, Deb and David

John, Kelly and Ella, I was so sadden to hear the news of Jett. You are a very strong family and this is a very difficult time, but your love will help you deal with all of the emotions you are feeling. Some people believe that time heals all wounds. It's not true. You will always feel that hole in your heart that Jett filled but you remember him with loving memories for all of the joy he brought to your lives. I pray that you find peace again.
I would like to express my deepest sympathies to your family. The pain of losing a child is like nothing else you will ever feel. May your memories help to ease your pain. The world's thought and prayers are with you.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to your family in the passing of your son > Be strong as God is watching over Jett as he is resting No words can express the words of losing a child . No parents should have to go through this . God Bless ! ! ! Monique & Richard (Lancaster, Ontario, Canada)
