If a host's request has a say in the recruitment of a show then Hugh Jackman would have to say yes to "Dancing with the Stars". Samantha Harris who has been co-hosting the show since the second season, told People magazine that she opts the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" star as a bulls-eye to the show.
"Hugh Jackman, hands down," Harris said when asked who should be on the new season. Jackman had been actively involved in a Broadway production in 2002, starring as Australian songwriter and performer Peter Allen in "The Boy from Oz". He won the Tony Award and Drama Desk Award for the portrayal.
Harris continued, "He's a song and dance man. He's a Broadway guy. He's got charisma and you know he can move." She confessed further to have handed the idea to the actor and Jackman "twirled and dipped" her as a response.
"Dancing with the Stars", a popular dancing competition that pairs celebrity and professional dancers, will begin its new season in March. Contestants and their partners will be announced in the weeks to come.
