A music video, aimed to promote a single called "In The Room Where You Sleep" from Ryan Gosling's band Dead Man's Bones, has come out. In the music video, the "Lars and the Real Girl" star sings the ballad song with the Silver Lake Conservatory of Music Children's Choir contributing their vocals on the hook.

Shot in black-and-white scenes, the video also sees Ryan strumming some piano riffs and his bandmate Zach Shields playing his drums. Meanwhile, the children of the choir are shown standing next to them donning Halloween costumes. Among them, there is a kid dressing up as a werewolf and mummy.

Dean Man's Bones are indie rock band fronted by Ryan Gosling. This band plan to release a debut studio album sometime soon. Their sounds are mostly influenced by "Disney Haunted Mansion, Doo-Wop and 60s Girl Groups." They are scheduled to perform at Werewolf Heart Records showcase at the SXSW Festival in Austin, Texas on March 21, 2009.

He's simply making music. He's not trying to be a professional musician. But to "TheGrandFinalewv", Gosling said that he didn't play piano and the percussionist didn't play drums before recording this song. They're not making music because they played for a little while when they were kids; they're simply making music for the fun of it. Read their interview with Pitchfork. However, I do respect your choice to dislike the music. Just don't go online bitching about how much you don't like it and calling him a poor musician.

So, I'm incredibly excited for this! Side note: Did anyone else notice the extremely large number of grammatical errors in this article? It was almost funny...

I think this is genius...although minimalist, it definately grips you. Oh, and all the haters need to chill - you guys probably don't have a creative bone in your body yet have no trouble smashing the work of others - actors or not!

I don't know...I liked it a lot actually.

I wish celebrities would stop trying to transcend the boundary between actor and musician. This is just another failed attempt of a great actor trying to express himself as a poor musician. Almost everyone took piano lessons as a child and most people can sing a few notes, that doesn't mean that we should all make music videos and share our "music" with the world. This really urks me. Damn you Ryan Gosling.

I am really enjoying the band. Glad he ventured out. Some of their other songs are good too.

Well I absolutely ... um dig Ryan G's acting skills. I think he's great, but I really can't cosign to this music venture. The kids sounded good though.

While I admire the courage that Ryan Gosling took to sing and create music, I do think that its best if he concentrates on his day job. There is a reason why he is an Academy nominated actor and there is much for him to do in the world of film.
