I'm so upset that I just today, March 9th discovered this site - I missed the Grammy's - not knowing that Dean Martin would be honored. He was and is the greatest entertainer of all time - wow, how we miss him. His son Ricci and daughter Deana are doing a great job bringing him to us through their tributes.

Bravo! A well deserved award for Dean Martin, an entertainer whose natural charm and wit came through when he sang a tune on recordings, TV, stage and acted in movies. I had the honor of performing with Dean on his TV Series and open for him in Vegas. I was one of his singing and dancing, "Golddiggers." I performed in the group for three decades and can say that Dean Martin was a "Showstopper" and a true gentlemen. Dean was the original "King of Cool" and I think that todays Grammy favorites like Lil Wayne learned their "Swag" from him! Blessings from Maria(Alberici) Lauren and all my perfoming sisters of "Showstoppers" and "The Golddiggers."

It's about time!! I'm so glad this legendary entertainer is being recognized for his wonderful talent after all these years. The man sang...like an angel. He was the best and there's never been another like him. Way to go Grammys!! They didnt say in the article who would get it on Dean's behalf. If i may add my 2 cents, as a LIFELONG Dino fan, i think his daughter and namesake, Deana and her husband John should be the recipients. Every year they do more than one would think is humanly possible to keep his memory alive and well - and her book on him was the best i've ever read on Dino- and i read them ALL! She (and John) are truly the Living Heart of Dean...now i cant say anything against the other kids - i dont know them. I only know Deana and John. But they are warm, generous, loving people - and for them, it's ALL ABOUT DEAN! Which is what this award is about! DEAN!! No one else's ego should get in the way, and while i dont know the others, i have no fear of that with Deana and John. They talk about him ALL the time - and always with love and warmth. So i say - have Deana receive it on his behalf. And one of those digital deals with her doing a duet with dad would be SUPER COOL!!! WAY TO GO GRAMMY FOLK!!! kimmmy and dover, the wonder dog
