Elton John has been confirmed as one of the musical guests on "NBC's New Year's Eve with Carson Daly". At the forthcoming event, he is set to sing hit single "Don't Let the Sun Go Down on Me", which is coming off his 1974 studio effort "Caribou".
"I can't wait to spend New Year's Eve with my biggest fans in America and the UK," Elton shared his excitement following the announcement. "This will be a fantastic night. I can't think of a better way to see in 2009."
Beside lining up Elton John, NBC has also booked Katy Perry, Ludacris, T.I. and The Ting Tings to light up the new year's event, which will be started from 10 P.M. (ET). On top of that, the television network also offers live reports from Times Square which will be presented by "The Today Show" co-anchor Amy Robach and NBC's News correspondent Luke Russert.
