The last episode of William Petersen as Gil Grissom on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" will be aired on Thursday, January 15. In "One to Go", Grissom will officially leave the unit and the show will welcome Laurence Fishburne's Dr. Raymond Langston as its regular.
As seen on the preview of this last episode of Grissom, there will be a few flashbacks of his scenes starting from the year 2000. The crime drama series aired its pilot on October 6 that year and Grissom had a scene with novice agent Holly Gribbs (Chandra West). It was in the episode that Grissom is known to have an eye for insects.
Peterson's character will stun his co-workers with an announcement that his time as a CSI has come to an end after working with Dr. Raymond Langston on the "Dick & Jane" murders, aired December 11. Before leaving the team for good though, he offers Langston a permanent position on the CSI team.

Does anyone know the title of the show when Grissom leaves & meets Sarah in what looks like the woods. She had already left andshe was surprised and they threw their arms around each other. It was touching to see them back together Any Help?? Thanks

Grissom made the show. when i found out he was leaving i started to try and watch Miami because i knew Las vegas would be dumb.
So sad William P is leaving, they could had made a better ending for him.

William Peterson is a great actor and I have missed him on the big screen during his tenure on CSI. I watched the show because of him and only him-I love his pigeon toed walk.
As good of an actor as Laurence Fishburne is, no one can(or will) replace Grissom in my heart! So whatever is next for you Mr. Peterson, I wish you the best of luck, and God bless. You will be missed by all of your devoted fans!
Grissom was the only reason to watch this show (too early to use past tense?). I haven't seen this season at all but I'll watch this last episode, then wash my hands of the series.

i will really miss grissom. his character is really one of the reasons i love csi vegas apart from the others. it's really sad to see him leave the show, more than i felt when they took out warrick...i hope he'll still drop by from time to time.

I feel he (his character) has been underused in recent seasons. I imagine he didn't find it challenging or enjoyable anymore. Good luck for the future Bill. I'm sure Gil will drop in for expert input occasionally.
Will, you have been the substance that held the show together. The only way you should leave the show is to follow Sara and you two be happy forever. Yes, I realize you are just screen characters but we've come to love your character and greatly respect your acting abilities. If you just go away with Sara, perhaps, you'll find a way to come back to us. Wishing you all success in your future endeavors. I do hope the decision to leave was yours and not a bunch of nuts. veralu

Grissom is the heart of CSI and so much fun to listen to on his intelligent level on the show. That show will be so sorry they replaced him no matter what his reason for leaving. Love you Grissom!
I hate that Grissom is leaving. I will one of the ones that will no longer watch the show. Please dont leave Grissom. You make the show.

It's just not fair. CSI was one of the best.. i am and have been a fan since day one. Now i will not watch it because all of my favs are gone. This show has sparked my love of forensics and wanting to always know why and how things happen.. I will miss this show but then there is CSI NY.
I will miss Gill a lot. He is a fine actor. I hope he does a new TV show soon. Good Luck in what ever you do.

I am dissapointed in William Petersen leaving the show, however I understand why. I will also leave by not watching. The two people worth watching CSI for (William Petersen the first) have been killed off now leaving. Was a good run. Now TV has nothing to offer.

first Sarah then Warrick now Grissom, woweeeeeeee. yes I think I'm done with the show, I'll watch on the 15 of Jan. to say good buy to the one and only Grissom.
Why is everyone on that show leaving?
With the other forensic shows out there it will not be the same without Mr. Petersen. He's the one who makes CSI I don't watch any of the other CSI shows.He is an excellent actor, why must hollowood insists on trying to re-invert something good when you have the best alreadly on the show? He will be missed. And I for one won't be watching!!!
Without William P being grissom and without Gil in general the show will lose it's popularity. He makes the show. Yes the case that accompanies him is terrific but he truly is the glue that holds them together when it come to the characters. I for one am not sure I will continue being a fan with Lawrence Fishburne at the helm and I have been one since the very beginning. I do with William P well though in whatever endeavors he has in his future.
I think he wants to move on. He must be tired of the role by now, and he's a great film actor.
I was gutted when sarah left and now grissom? I doubt i'll watch it anymore with who they've filled his shoes with. Bad move!
The show won't be the same. He makes the whole show. I don't know if i will watch it anymore. Maybe i'll switch over to NCIS.
