Shoshanna Dreyfus of 'Inglourious Basterds' Exposed

Fresh picture from "Inglourious Basterds", has brought forth another principal character from the action drama movie aside from Lt. Aldo Raine and Bridget von Hammersmark. Posted through Filmz.ru, the new picture focuses on Melanie Laurent's Shoshanna Dreyfus character. In it, the Jewish girl who survives a bloody Nazi manhunt brings an axe to a table on which her projectionist friend Marcel slammed a man's head.

An ensemble war film from filmmaker Quentin Tarantino, "Inglourious Basterds" is set in German-occupied France. It begins when Shosanna Dreyfus witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa. Narrowly escaping the brutal murder, Shosanna flees to Paris, changes her identity and plans a revenge. Elsewhere, Lieutenant Aldo Raine assembles a group of Jewish soldiers known as "The Basterds". Joining forces with German actress and undercover agent Bridget von Hammersmark, they set on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich.

Other than Melanie Laurent, this World War II film will see Brad Pitt starring as Raine, Diane Kruger as von Hammersmark and Christoph Waltz as Landa. They will also be supported by Samuel L. Jackson, Maggie Cheung, Julie Dreyfus, Mike Myers and Eli Roth among others. Undergoing its production in Germany, the Weinstein Company film is targeted for 2009 release.
