Behind the Scene Video of '24' Season Seven

Executive producer, new characters as well as Kiefer Sutherland himself, got their share of thoughts on the new season of '24'.

AceShowbiz - With "24" season 7 is set on the hook, FOX release a behind-the-scene video that includes among others, commentary from the executive producer as well as the personal thought from the actors. Also released is a music video of the TV series that features main character Jack Bauer in various actions.

Executive producer Howard Gordon explains why Jack is now operating in Washington DC instead of L.A. like the previous seasons. He stated that that the idea of Jack saving the country and the icons that are present in the capital city, really contribute to the decision that Washington DC is an important place to set the story.

Several new characters are introduced this season. A female president, played by Cherry Jones, will play an important role in the decisions made for a Darfur-like country. On her involvement, Jones shares that it's "one of the greatest roles of a lifetime to play a president". Annie Wersching also talks about how her character, Renee, interacts with Jack as his new partner and how complicated their relationship is. Meanwhile, Kiefer Sutherland who plays Jack, explains what happens to him that he lands in a court in the opening scene.

Some spoilers of the new season are given out by some sites, including EW's Michael Ausiello who says that "A pivotal character from last Sunday's Redemption movie will die within the first four hours of Day 7". Executive producer Jon Cassar also talked to Zap2It's Korbi, spilling "Well, basically what we're doing is we're playing with Blackwater and these military firms that provide the government with power. That is one of the characters on the show, part of being on the wrong side of the law, let's say."

"24" returns with a two-night, four-hour season premiere Sunday, Jan. 11 and Monday, Jan. 12 8/7c.
