A preview of "True Blood" 1.12 has been given. This episode which is called "You'll Be the Death of Me" will conclude the first season of the modern Vampire drama on November 23 before the show moves on with the second season that will air around June 2009.
Like the pilot, this season finale episode is directed by creator Alan Ball. Sookie finds a link to the string of killings in Bon Temps - and ends up in the murderer's crosshairs. Tara decides to make the most of her second chance with Maryann while Jason finds a new calling after anti-vampire zealot Orry visits him in jail.
Bill tempts fate during his latest attempt to save Sookie and Sam is perturbed by an encounter with an old acquaintance. Also, Lafayette finds himself in the wrong place at the right time.
HBO has not yet set a particular date for the midseason premiere but Alan Ball has dished out that the new season will still combine elements from Charlaine Harris' book it's based on, and the original stories.

I am completely hooked with True Blood i cant wait for season 2. I am a fan of Stephen Moyer (Bill) excellent actor. HBO needs to film season 2 ASAP.
It will take such a long time because 1) it's the holiday season and many cast spend it with their families and 2) they will go and film season 2 back-to-back. Also the May/June period is usually sweeps months and I think they'll get an even bigger fanbase by releasing it not too long after tv sweeps, ahead of the other season premieres.
I am ecstatic that there will be a Season 2. I am completely hooked!
True Blood is fantastic! The only thing that will get me through until next season is watching season 1 recorded on my DVR. I've already read the books and can't wait to see how the show portray's it. STAT on season 2!

i agree, and am seeing RED! if networks only take 3-4 months before their shows return...why not HBO! ETA on TRUEBLOOD=7 MONTHS (6/09)
