A spokesperson from Interscope Records confirmed that 50 Cent's fourth major studio album "Before I Self Destruct" will be pushed back to next year's release. No specific reason is revealed regarding the delay but extra features are reportedly in the work to be added as a bonus.
"Before I Self Destruct" was supposed to be dropped in the U.S. market on December 16. However, updated news from 50's camp reveals an unspecified date issued as "The beginning of '09" as the new timetable for his album's release date.
Apart from the postponed release schedule, the first single "Get Up" off 50's forthcoming effort has hit the U.S. stores since early October. Produced by Scott Storch, the track has charted at number 17 on Billboard Mainstream R&B/Hip-Hop and peaked at number 44 on Billboard Hot 100 singles chart.
