On the 'Wizards of Waverly Place' movie plans, Disney's star Selena Gomez also revealed the potential shooting location and who she wants to have as co-star.

AceShowbiz - Disney Channel's original series "Wizards of Waverly Place" could be heading to the big screen. Spilling out the bean, the comedy series star Selena Gomez told MTV News that plans to develop a movie from the hit series "Waverly Place" have been discussed.

Gushing over the movie plans, the 16-year-old revealed that there are talks to shoot the production in New York. "Yes! We actually want to shoot it here in New York," so she claimed. On the potential storyline, the starlet who lends her voice to "Horton Hears a Who!" suggested that the family's secret may be exposed.

Other than that, Gomez also spoke out about her hope to have Shia LaBeouf in either the TV series or the movie version. "You'd think that as much as I promote it [he'd be coming on]," she said. "I'm, like, begging, but it's not happening. I know I'm a nerd! Please, Shia, come on my show!"

"Wizards of Waverly Place" is a live-action series created by former "Hannah Montana" writer Todd J. Greenwald. It follows the Russo family whose three kids, Justin, Alex and Max, have magical powers. The series also stars David Henrie, Jake T. Austin, David DeLuise, Maria Canals Barrera and Jennifer Stone.
