During the airing of Scream 2008 awards on Tuesday, October 21, an exclusive footage of "Friday the 13th" has been uncovered and now the footage that has been branded as the film's teaser has been put out. The video presents two presumably young councilors finding the abandoned camp crystal lake's cabin that was once Jason Voorhees' cabin. Exploring the cabin, the pair soon discovers horror is lurking in the dark place when they are suddenly attacked by something from below the cabin.

Due to open in theaters on February 13, 2009, "Friday the 13th" is directed by Marcus Nispel and the script is provided by Damian Shannon and Mark Swift. The slasher movie, which is a remake to Sean S. Cunningham's 1980 horror movie of the same name, features the likes of Derek Mears, Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, Danielle Panabaker, Aaron Yoo and Willa Ford, and chronicles the slaughtering of teenage camp counselors at camp crystal lake as they are work on reopening a camp for special need kids.

So is the original real killer Mrs Vorhees not in this remake/reboot?

i think it could end up being a descent reboot. seeing jason run was expected, but good. would be more likely to see it during the halloween horror push, will wait for video.

I really liked the first F13, but wasn't too fond of the sequels, and just from what we've seen in the trailer, this looks less like a remake, and more like yet another sequel. I'll pass.

Somebody explain this to me: True fans complain because the new movies are not true to the series and new fans complain about how crappy the old movies were but like the PG-13 versions. Plain and simple: Friday the 13th Part 6 was the best of them all. It's got blood, boobs, and a cool Alice Cooper score. Jason is at his evil best with just enough humor to cover the gaping storyline holes. There I said it. Done.

Making jason run is a smart idea. Give's the viewer a panicked feeling that theres nowhere to hide, much like 2004 dawn of the dead. Movie will probly be as bad as other remakes though.

This movie DOES look WEAK!!! JASON vs MICHEAL...bring it on! LOL, obese people.

I'm with GRUBBS on this one. Jason VS Micheal Myers!!! That would have kicked some serious asshole. This reboot does look weak! Someone needs to make a movie about the mayan calander and the end of the world 2012...that is some freaking shit!

Looks SUPER weak. They should have quit with these sequels after the one where Jason was in space. That was quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen next to Freddy VS Jason (they should have done Jason VS Micheal Myers) Anyone who is behind this "reboot" of Friday the 13th should be taken behind the barn and shot in the face. I see this movie leaning towards the obese men and women in their 30's who were social outcasts growing up. Instead of redoing old movies, lets get our shit together "HOLLYWOOD" and come up with some fucking original fucking movies.

Dude, Jason was never scary. Besides, that's one small clip, and it looks like something from Freddy Vs Jason, which went from scary to action. Maybe they're aiming for something along the same angle, and that would be something different, and less boring than regular Friday 13 movies.

That wasn't a run that was a full-on swinging-machete-death-skip! OMG Jason is BACK! I personally think this is going to be so BA, I thought Nispel did a fine job with Texas Chainsaw, and after seeing this clip I'm just wishing oscar season was over and the blood-letting could begin!

Seeing Jason run actually takes away from what made Jason scary in the past. In the past, Jason didn't have to run after his victims because they were so filled with fear that they couldn't think and they would trip/fall or he would just sneak around and get them. Jason running doesn't make a lot of sense to me. The machete thru the floor board however, was pretty appealing to the senses.
