Celebrating her 16th birthday a few weeks early, Miley Cyrus claimed to really enjoy her "Sweet 16 - Share the Celebration", held Sunday, October 5 at California's Disneyland. Scoring an one-on-one interview with the teen sensation at the Anaheim theme park, "Good Morning America" has an exclusive behind-the-scenes video of the special bash.
The evening started with Cyrus and fellow celebrity friends, like Tyra Banks, David Archuleta and Demi Lovato strolling down a large purple carpet, greeting a throng of screaming fans. The birthday girl was joined by more than 5,000 guests for the party.
Taking the stage to entertain the partygoers, Miley was photographed wearing a white ruffled skirt and jersey-like vest with "Sweet 16" printed on the back. She performed four songs. Miley's rumored boyfriend Justin Gaston preferred to avoid the purple carpet rush, but he emerged on-stage to help open up for the Disney actress-singer. He joined Miley's father Billy Ray Cyrus and older sister Brandi to sing "Achy Breaky Heart." Miley's 8-year-old sister Noah also took part in the celebration, interviewing some celebrity guests who showed up for the party.
Miley herself was quoted as boasting, "This is the most amazing sweet 16 that a girl could have!" As for the present she loved the most, she told People, "My dog that I just got named Sophie. I'm so excited" when referring to the puppy her parents gave her. Citing Disney, the weekly publication reported the puppy is Maltipoo, a cross between a Maltese and a poodle. The name Sophie is derived from the name of a dog owned by her late grandfather.
