The singer reportedly can not turn up the album in time of the deadline, thus prompting a possible delay.

AceShowbiz - Beyonce Knowles can't keep up with the pace to finish her album in time. A source told NY Daily News the R'n'B singer would not be able to hand out the CD on Wednesday morning which is the deadline set by her label if she wants to stick to the November 18 release schedule.

"It's not going to be completed," a source close to the executives told the publication. "She's got to get it out early in the fourth quarter, when there's so much competition among artists."

The delay then branches out to several possible causes, one of them being her commitment to two movie projects. Her acting schedules in "Cadillac Records" and "Obsessed" are said to take up too much of her time. Furthermore, her duet with Justin Timberlake for the album has also contributed to the lateness, with the two of them not satisfied with the result for a couple of times.

Another reason is suggested by the insider who said that Beyonce had a clash with Max Gousse who is an executive close to Beyonce's dad slash manager Matthew Knowles. In response to this, Matthew said, "How would he not be involved? He's the vice president of my company, and she's recording with my company."

Instead of the traditional one single at a time, Beyonce will release two singles simultaneously on Tuesday, October 7. They are titled "If I Were a Boy" and "Single Ladies", one of them which will be performed live at the MTV European Music Awards on November 6. The album itself is tentatively titled "Virtuoso Sasha".
