Audio of David Cook's New Song 'Light On'

Getting closer to his debut album release date, David Cook releases his first single, 'Light On', which is co-written by Chris Cornell.

While his debut album is still months away, has dropped the first single from the album. Titled "Light On", the song is co-written by of and includes deep lyrics, saying, "Try to leave a light on when I'm gone/Something I rely on to get home."

David's not-yet-titled debut album is due for release on November 18 under the courtesy of 19 Recordings/RCA Records. It will likely include co-writing credits from Collective Soul's Ed Roland, 's Raine Maida, and .

"I just want the record to be both eclectic and cohesive and have something to say," David speaks of his upcoming effort. "The music is rock and it's pretty undeniably me, which I'm retty excited about. There's gonna be some interesting twists and turns ... that will keep people interested."

i luuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuv this song. i heard it on the 1st day, and i can not stop listening to it. hopefully he does a video for it. i can't wait till his album comes out. i also love daughtry and have supported both of them form the beginning!!!! the light will be left on for both of them!!! i love you chris daughtry and david cook!!!!!!!!!!!!
