There is a big possibility that "Alien vs. Predator" saga will end until the second installment only, but there could be more on "Predator". Even more interesting, Arnold Schwarzenegger may be on board to reprise his role as Dutch if indeed the movie is re-made from the original 1987 flick.
Producer John Davis talked to Collider.com, referring Arnold, who has taken hiatus from film industry to concentrate on his politician role, as the Governor. He said, "Well, the Governor has mentioned to me that when he ceases to be Governor, if he doesn't run for the Senate and all of that stuff, he'd like to do a movie or two again. And I don't know, maybe we could restart the Predator franchise."
When asked how big is the possibility if Arnold eventually signs in, Davis added, "Well we'd have to come up with a really good script and a really great angle on it, but Predator was the first movie I was ever involved with, so it's always going to have a really soft spot in my heart."
Meanwhile, on AVP itself, Davis doubted there would be more of it since they have "logically done" with what they could've done with the franchise. The latest installment is the 2007 "Aliens vs. Predator - Requiem".

@Robert W You know what people who like bad movies are? Retards. And there are a lot of them, including those who posted saying they want another AVP movie. If anything, they should reboot both franchises and make them in a way that ignores the AVP movies, like they did with Prometheus.
The AVP movies were doomed to fail. The first one was directed by Paul Anderson of all people, who gave us slow motion facehuggers, Predators who play nice with humans, had it take place on present day Earth and made it PG-13. The second one was basically an episode of One Tree Hill guest starring Aliens and one Predator. Why does hollywood have to ruin everything? If they make AVP3 I want the Aliens and Predators to team up and kill everyone involved in the AVP movies.
@John I hear you, these movies are a disgrace to both to franchises, I can't believe anyone would want another AVP movie. I guess most people don't know what a bad movie is if they see one.
Talk about a franchise that ended not with a bang but a whimper. I guess they figured they did enough damage and decided to cut their losses. And despite the fact that the producer who was involved in both AVP movies said that the franchise is dead, there's a demand for a third movie. Give it up people, the AVP movies suck.
What is wrong with you people? The AVP movies suck, they nearly killed both franchises with those movies. And you want more? Do you like it when both alien and predator are crapped on? If John Davis says they're done, that means they're done.
Forget Arnold, what about Ripley continue alien 4 mixed with predators. Ripley returns to earth and predators are there, she is already having alien dna what about that to start a story?

AVP2 sucked! That movie wasn't really good! That is the reason that they are not making any more! unless someone else in the film industry can make it better!But I heard from the Alien franchise that they might be making a 5th movie!
I think there whould be a movie made like "Underworld rise of the lycan" Where it takes you right back to the beggining and shows you everything, like how it started and stuff, not like scrren clips in avp1
To be bluntly honest AVP belongs in space, humans with the marine style setup as per Aliens film, predators and Aliens fighting around them.
Avp 2 ended perfectly for the setup of avp 3, so why would there not be a third. The humans have gained the technology of the predators weapons and there are a few good lines that leave us hanging: "we're not doing this for the world", they should make the third one go into detail about what that actually means, and base the rest of the movie more about the humans and the war between aliens and predators, and possibly humans taking a side, ending the entire avp saga there.
Here's my idea about AVP3. The predators have been attacked by aliens in their own planet, I don't know how but the aliens spieces had adquired some more intellinge than they have expected in few days, the aliens are preparing a massive attack , a plan to take all planet, so the predator's planet need all help they can get. The battle will be no easy, predator's population is weak, few females, old predators and the young predators are injured because the last battle. Their mission is go 2 planet hearth to get some help. Since they are more human like beens comparing with aliens, they have some chance to get it. Some humans would understand their situation because the predators have saved humans from aliens in remote times. Some predators are bad guys as some of us humans. The mission cost some lifes on hearth. But finally they succed. They go back to their planet just when the aliens were about to strike. In the end of the movie humans make history helping, fighting, sharing and giving hope again to predator's planet. So they see that humans are not what they've been thinking all this time, a race without hope, savages and primates... They are more like brothers!!! I hope the AVP3 to be something like my idea, a all lot of action movie.

WTF! arnie wont be back hes like 70. Hes way out of shape and he wouldnt be able to do any action scenes, i dont hate the guy i love him hes my hero but trust me he wont be back to play dutch. He is too busy governing california.

Um! Excuse me!! I am a predator n aliens super fan. And I must say that it would be totally awesome if a Predator 3 was to be made. It should a mix of the jungle n the city. And the predators face should b seen a lot more in the movie. And stop putting these scrawny lil men to play predator. Get big tough dudes like in avp to play predator. And on the other hand a AVP3 movie should b made also. Remember that at the end of AVP the queen alien fell into water. I thought the queen would b in AVP2. Because aliens swim.( So she couldn't have died, and better yet a KING alien should b made. Bigger n badder!!) Like in Aliens ressurection. Them suckers swam. So I would definitely bring back the queen in this movie. And towards the middle end of the movie there should b like 4 or 5 predators kickin aliens ass. And I don't know how but this should b done on predators planet or in a spaceship or a alien planet. But not here on earth because AVP2 wasn't too good!
It would be cool if the humans found the predators shooting down alien facehuggers for their hunt, but a human finds a pod. He kills the alien, then calls the police. There The cops, and Arnold's (from the first predator movie) Comes out and has delt with predators before. He knows how their stuff works. they fly to the predator planet where the queen alien (who supplies the eggs) breaks free. There the predators fight the queen and the humans.
oh...and it would be better for the queen alien from avp 1 to occur again she could use her tail to break the chain on her and try to get revenge...then the predators can come down to get their gun back from the government...then while they try to destroy mankind the queen can attack the predators and start a war.

The hell? Kevin Peter Hall is the best portrayal of the Predator character on screen. He created the way the creature moves, and reacts to things. The ones in the AvP films were pale imitations. If Keven hadn't died of aids in the early 90's, I'm sure he would have reprised hi role
