Two additional cast will be introduced in the new season of 'Grey's Anatomy', one of them being Janina Gavankar.
Seattle Grace Hospital will get a couple of new interns in the fifth season of "Grey's Anatomy". Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello heard a scoop that "The L Word" alumna Janina Gavankar will play a role in the series, so will "Cold Case" guest-starring actor Brandon Scott.
While the insider claimed that "nothing's been decided yet", producers reportedly are still considering on how big the roles they will play in the show. Thus, they will begin their parts as recurring players. Scott, allegedly will portray a character deemed "junior McDreamy".
The new season starts Thursday, September 25 on ABC. Katherine Heigl who was rumored to be out from the project said in an interview with OK! magazine that her character, Dr. Izzy Stevens, will still be in the show but she hopes Izzy to have a brain tumor.
Gavankar is most notable for her role as Papi, a promiscuous lesbian in "The L Word". While Papi vanished after season 3 without explanation, she is confirmed to appear in the sixth and final episode of the lesbian show.
