Kenny Chesney leads 2008 Annual Country Music Awards by grabbing seven nominations. The singer is nominated as Male Vocalist of the Year, competing with Alan Jackson, Brad Paisley, George Strait, and Keith Urban.

Announced on Good Morning America with special guest appearances from Taylor Swift and Rascal Flatts, Kenny is also among Entertainer of the Year nominees, which have the same composition as Male Vocalist nominees except for the exclusion of Alan and the addition of duo Sugarland. On top of that, Kenny's work for single "Don't Blink", where he teams up with Buddy Cannon in the production house, is also praised with Single of the Year nomination.

Kenny's domination is followed by Jennifer Nettles, who receives six nominations, including Song of the Year for single "Stay" from her band's 2007 effort "Enjoy the Ride". Meanwhile, Jennifer's band, Sugarland, receive five nominations, one of which is Music Video of the Year for Shaun Silva-directed "Stay" video. Furthermore, nominated as Female Vocalist of the Year, Carrie Underwood will have a stiff competition with Taylor, Alison Krauss, Miranda Lambert, and Martina McBride.

A full list of this year's nomination can be found on CMA's official website. The 42nd Annual CMA Awards winners will be announced on November 12 and broadcast live from the Sommet Center in Nashville on ABC.

I seen on the tv to nominate your local hero. That person is Dr. Robert Winsec. Without him many people would not be here today, I am one of them. Most of the Doctors that seen me put me on a heart transplant list to get me help that I would probably not live to see. Dr. Winsec takes the real hard cases children old alike and he saves a lot of them. Lots of us owe us his life God bless him he is a real cowboy, he makes such a difference.

I noticed right away. Almost all the performers were quiet, or just sounded muffled. Hard to believe this was a big budget deal and this happened to almost every performer.

We hear ya David. My husband and I noticed the same thing and turned this horror show off. The sound quality truly sucked and you would think that would be the one thing that they would do well. We were totally disappointed and instead watched some shows that we had Tivo'd from earlier in the week. Feelin' the same pain.

The CMA Awards 2008 sound quality sucked and my wife and I turned it. You can't even understand what the singers are saying and the acoustics you can tell are horrible. I wonder if anyone else noticed.
