N.E.R.D and Common Join Forces in 'Invincible Sounds of Summer'


N.E.R.D will travel across the U.S. along side Common for a promotional project called 'Invincible Sounds of Summer' in support of their latest records.

Hip hop group N.E.R.D, who are comprised rappers Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley, are scheduled to hit the road with rap peer Common. Called "Invincible Sounds of Summer", the gigs will be kicked off in Houston on September 9 and wrap up in Miami on October 10.

According to their promoter, in the tour, N.E.R.D will sing new tunes from their third and latest record, "Seeing Sounds", which has just been released in June. Meanwhile, Common is going to bring out his forthcoming "Invincible Summer", which has been pushed back from June 24 to September 22.

Outside the joint tour, N.E.R.D and Common also have their own shows. Pharrell and friends are set for a live performance at France's Austin City Limits Music Festival on September 26 while Common will perform at a benefit concert for his Common Ground Foundation. The charity gig will take place at the House of Blues in Chicago where The Roots, Pharrell, will.i.am, Bilal, and other big artists are also scheduled to appear.

Tickets for the shows are on sale through ticketmaster with the price, ranged from $52 to $100. Detailed dates for N.E.R.D and Common's "Invicible Sounds of Summer":
