Becoming the subject of media coverage concerning her short-lived romance with ladies' man John Mayer, Jennifer Aniston is bouncing back with another report that has something to do with her professional career as an actress. Following days of chatter and speculation, it's finally confirmed that she's heading back to the silver screen, joining the cast of NBC's "30 Rock" for an upcoming episode.
And while the TV network is unable to confirm her starring role in the comedy series, Aniston's publicist Stephen Huvane has said Friday, August 29 that the beauty "is shooting now." Stephen, nevertheless, didn't specify about her character. It's not yet confirmed too on when the episode will be aired.
"30 Rock", a TV comedy series, stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin. It follows them in a behind-the-scenes and sometimes self-directed spoof of a television network and the huge corporation that owns it. The show has collected some awards, like Golden Globes and Emmy. Its new season, the third one, will premiere on October 30 later this year.
Aniston's guest starring role in the series will mark her first appearance on an NBC sitcom since "Friends" went off the air in 2004. Taking mostly film roles since "Friends" wrapped, Aniston is the next "Friends" alum to star in the series, following in the footsteps of actor David Schwimmer.
