Sony Pictures are auctioning the chance for fans to be an extra in the forthcoming 'Spider-Man 4' and to win many other prizes related to the film.

AceShowbiz - As their next "Spider-Man" movie is eyeing a possible 2011 release, Sony Pictures are offering fans a once-in-a-lifetime chance to take part in "Spider-Man 4". Holding a charitable auction on eBay, the production company open up the bidding game with amazing prizes that include the chance of being an extra in the film.

Beside appearing in the movie, the highest bidder and his or her guest can visit the movie's set, participate in a meet and greet with the cast as well as attend the New York premiere and walk down its red carpet dressed in designer outfits. Benefiting the "Stand Up to Cancer" charity, the auction will be closed on September 5.

Noting that there is a possibility that the movie may not be made, Sony make sure that the winner won't walk out empty handed. Hence, they release the following statement, "If experience cannot be fulfilled, Sony Pictures will provide alternative set visits/premieres based on the provider's availability."

So far, many things concerning "Spider-Man 4" are still marked with question marks. The movie which put James Vanderbilt on the screenwriting role has yet to have any director or actors attached. Director Sam Raimi is still waiting to read the script before making any decision and words on the chance of Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst returning for their roles are scarce.
