Making no secret about his battle with diabetes, Nick Jonas is very vocal in raising awareness on the disease among young people. Previously sharing his experience dealing with diabetes to his young fans at New York City's W Hotel, he's bringing his involvement to fight the disease to the next level, inviting four lucky fans to join him in a charity walk.
As part of him teaming up with Bayer, Nick is launching Walk in Nick's Shoes campaign, which offers kids across America a chance to be flown to Los Angeles on November 1 to stroll alongside the Jonas Brothers pin-up at a charity walk, dubbed JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes. In addition to free flight and hotel, winners will also get personal diabetes coach for 1 year.
Besides the grand prizes, there are also 10 first prizes in form of autographed sneakers signed by Nick and 100 runner-up prizes, which are Nick's Simple Wins t-shirts.
"It's going to be really exciting to meet the winners who will walk with other young people and their families to raise awareness and funds for juvenile diabetes," so said the singing sensation. "I'm lucky to have great support from my family, friends and fans," he added.
Campaigning to fight diabetes isn't something new for Nick. He and brothers Kevin Jonas and Joe Jonas previously made an appearance before the crowd at New York City's W Hotel on August 6, raising awareness among young people everywhere about proper diabetes care.

i feel srry 4 anybody that has diabetes including nick and me
i honestly have to say nick jonas is my here he doesnt let diabetes stop him from doing what he loves and hes shows me if you have confidence in yourself nothing or no one can stop you.the reason why he is my hero too is cause diabetes runs on both sides of my family im scared to get it but nick shows me tht it will be okay. i love you nicholas jerry jonas your my hero you mean everything to me and i wanna meet you soo badly hopefully i can.
I think it's really great that nick is doing something so special about diabetes and making it easyer to talk about diabetes
hey nick it was a big surprise to find out that you have diabetes, but i want you to know that you can pull throw and i hope this helps, I've had diabetes seens i was 8, i've made it for almost 8 year and i plan to make it for the rest of my life if need be so you can make it too ^^
