'Voltron' Moves Forward After a Turnaround

Said to be left off by New Recency, the adaptation movie of the popular Japanese anime, 'Voltron', has found a replacer, Relativity Media.

Good news is rushing towards "Voltron". Despite allegedly being ditched by Fox-based New Regency Pictures, the feature film project about a giant mecha robot protecting the Earth has been said to be picked up by Relativity Media.

By that, it means that Relativity will both finance as well as produce the live-action movie which has been developed since 2004. Though financially "Voltron" will be made with a much reduced budget, the Justin Marks-scripted film reportedly will go on forward using "the type of cost-effective technology employed in films" like the one utilized for "300".

Based on the popular Japanese animated TV series of the '80s, "Voltron" has been described to be a post-apocalyptic tale about five people surviving an alien attack and ending up to be pilots to the post-apocalyptic tale which can be combined to form a massive sword-wielding Voltron. The story is set in New York City and Mexico. Meanwhile, the helmer will be determined soon.
