Heidi Newfield has landed brand new album "What Am I Waiting for" at number two on
Billboard Top Country Albums chart. The effort is her debut studio album which carries ten tracks, including the lead single "Johny & June". It is reportedly to mark Heidi's independence after leaving her band Trick Pony.
Speaking of her success, from the road in upstate New York, Heidi says, "I am so thrilled with the reaction from everyone regarding my new album! The record was such a labor of love and I couldn't be more proud with the result. This is just the beginning of good music to come."
Furthermore, People magazine calls her album one of the best country albums mainly for "Johnny & June" that has made people with those names smiling somewhere. Meanwhile, The New York Times calls tunes such as "What Am I Waiting For", "All I Wanna Do", and "Love Her and Lose Me" as the most impressive country songs.
Heidi has recently been doing a summer tour to support her new album. The tour will wrap up at Illinois State Fair this weekend. Heidi will also record an acoustic set for CMT's 330 Sessions later this month. She is also set to make appearances on Inside Music Row, News Channel 5's Talk Of The Town and Tennessee Mornings on Fox 17.
