Paul W.S. Anderson's action movie "Death Race" has released the claimed-to-be first clip of the movie. Displaying the scene where Jensen Ames played by Jason Statham is navigating through the rain of fire let out by his competitors, the clip shows the intensity of the deathly race which ends with a big bang.
Following Ames' fight for freedom, "Death Race" tells the story of the ex-con who is framed for a murder and his task in joining an insane three-day challenge set by Terminal Island's warden. Facing the most vicious criminals in the country, the three-time speedway champion now has to outsmart and outgun the others to come out alive.
Starring Statham, Joan Allen, Tyrese Gibson, Ian McShane and many others, the Universal Pictures' flick will blow out in theaters on August 22.
