American heavy metal band Metallica have set release dates for their ninth studio album "Death Magnetic" under Warner Bros records. The album is scheduled to be released on September 12 in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Meanwhile, it is expected to arrive in U.S. stores on September 16 and will reach most of Europe countries on September 15.
For promotional project, the band offer various configurations for their fans. A deluxe coffin-shaped box is reported to come with a bonus CD, DVD, T-shirt, guitar pick and other goodies.
Following the announcement of the release date, the band have also confirmed "The Day That Never Comes" as their first single from the album. Furthermore, they have shot a video for the single. On their official website, the group said, "Today (Thursday, July 31) we shot a video. More like a short film really....for the first featured track from 'Death Magnetic,' directed by fellow Dane/filmmaker Thomas Vinterberg. We spent the better part of the afternoon playing 'The Day That Never Comes' to a sold-out crowd of dust and smoke just outside of Los Angeles, California.... Should be ready to share with all of you at the end of the month, give or take...more to come."
