It seems that boyband New Kids On The Block are trying to set the record straight about the recent news claiming they are eying lots of mega stars to collaborate with them on their new LP. The group revealed on their official website that they are not recording tracks with Michael Jackson or Madonna.

The statement was shouted by the group's Donnie Wahlberg while he was taking a break from the New Kids' rehearsal. "We are NOT recording with Michael Jackson and/or Madonna. We never claimed to be either. Good fun reading about though! Sorry to let ya down.... Or not," Donnie wrote.

Despite denying that they will be collaborating with the mega star, Donnie did confirm that the group are teaming up with other musicians on their upcoming new record titled "The Block". Revealing the news, Donnie wrote, "Anyway...Can't wait til you all hear who we did do some collabo's with!!!!"

The pop group's new record itself is being set to hit the stores on September 2 and it will be their first after reuniting in April. Promoting the new LP, the group have already released the album's first single "Summertime" on May 13.
