Her then husband sent her enough flowers to fill a room to congratulate her on her newborn daughter and she herself is planning to baptize her daughter September later this year.
Gave birth to her first biological child, daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban earlier this week, Nicole Kidman has received "a room full of flowers" to congratulate her on the birth of her baby. Her then husband Tom Cruise reportedly was among the first people who sent her flowers as a congratulation.
The actor is said to have sent enough flowers for the whole maternity ward as an expression of good wishes to her and her musician husband Keith Urban. Nicole "has had hundreds of bouquets of flowers from well-wishers," a source revealed to The Daily Mirror, adding that "Tom was one of the first people to get in touch and he sent her enough flowers to fill a room."
In addition to the flowers, Nicole also received a hand-written note from Australia's Prime Minister, Kevin Rudd.
Wants to be a very hands-on mum for her newborn daughter, Nicole "has shunned all offers of help," the Mirror quoted a source as saying. Though so, "her sister and a nanny will help out in future if needs be."
In related news, Nicole is said to have been planning to baptize daughter Sunday Rose in her home city of Sydney, Australia in September. She will have the same priest Father Paul Coleman who married her to Urban to perform the sacred ceremony.
Said to be feeling very happy to be tapped to perform the baptism, Father Paul Coleman stated, "I am delighted at the birth of Keith and Nicole's child and I will be very happy to baptize and christen her. It's a beautiful name and I am thrilled and pleased for them both. They deserve every happiness and joy after trying so hard for this baby they really wanted."
Nicole is a mother of two adopted children; son Connor Antony and daughter Isabella Jane, with ex hubby Tom. She gave birth to daughter Sunday Rose Kidman Urban on Monday, July 7. The baby weighed 6 pounds and 7.5 ounces upon the delivery.
