Latest reports stated that the Canadian pop singer will be releasing new materials that will be included on her upcoming greatest hits record which will be dropped this fall.

AceShowbiz - Sarah McLachlan is set to give her dying fans some new music soon that will be featured on her upcoming yet-to-be-titled greatest hits album, which will be dropped on October 7. According to Spinner.com, the Canadian singer will spawn two new exclusive songs for the upcoming untitled LP.

Commenting about Sarah's new project, her manager Terry McBride wrote on his blog, "It is amazing to hear Sarah McLachlan's voice again. There is a purity to her magic as it's from a heart that is wide open and bare in its naked emotion." Promoting the upcoming songs on the record, Terry also added, "The melodies are addictive, the lyrics personal to each and everyone, and the delivery is both spine chilling and uplifting. "

Moreover, Terry also confirmed that the first track from the upcoming greatest hits record will be released soon. "The airwaves sincerely need her energy. There will be many tears shed, many in happiness, when these songs get released. The first track will go public one month from now," Terry said.

Before the upcoming greatest hits album, on April 29, the singer has just released a special compilation album titled "Rarities, B-Sides and Other Stuff - Volume 2", which features some collaboration tracks that she has done throughout her musical career and also some cover songs from her favorite musicians.

In other news, the singer who has just given birth to a second child in 2007, recently did a rare performance in Vancouver. Speaking to her fans at the gig, Sarah said her apology for her short absence from the music scene saying, "It's been awhile for me. I'm sorry ... I got knocked up again."
