'Spider-Man 4' Targeting May 2011 Release
Movie

On Thursday, June 19, it was revealed that filmmakers have put the fourth 'Spider-Man' installment on tentative schedule for May 2011 release.

AceShowbiz - Answering to the earlier speculation suggesting that "Spider-Man 4" maybe coming out in 2010, filmmakers behind the Marvel's comic books adaptation movie apparently would make fans waiting longer to see their web-slinging superhero back in action on the big screen. They are now aiming to release the fourth installment of "Spider-Man" series in May 2011.

The tentative schedule was revealed by producer Laura Ziskin when she was addressing theater owners from California and Nevada on Thursday, June 19. On the occasion, she also confessed that there was no completed screenplay on hands yet, but she and the studio producing the action movie, Sony Pictures, are hoping that the film will be finished in three years time.

Up to date, much of key details concerning the fourth "Spider-Man" film still offer many questions among the fans. Director Sam Raimi has earlier revealed that though excited to read the new script from scribbler James Vanderbilt, he has yet made any decision on returning to tackle it. On the casting side, many are doubting about the returning of "Spider-Man" stars Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst, especially since earlier words were hovering above the film hinting that Maguire maybe replaced by younger actor, Patrick Fugit or Michael Angarano.
