Sergio Mendes Taps Fergie on New Album

The Brazilian musician gives a new flavour on his upcoming LP "Encanto" by tapping the Black Eyed Peas member on one of the songs from his new record.

AceShowbiz - Sergio Mendes is making a new and bold breakthrough on his upcoming album "Encanto" by tapping Stacy Ferguson a.ka. Fergie to rap on the set "The Look of Love". The new song itself is actually a cover of Burt Bacharach and it is being produced by Black Eyed Peas' will.i.am.

Beside that track, there will be also other cool songs that are being included on Sergio's New LP, which are a hip-hop version of "Agua De Beber", "Waters of March", "Somewhere In The Hills" and many more. Meanwhile, aside from Fergie and will.i.am other musicians that have also being tapped by the musician are the likes of Juanes and Natalie Cole.

Sergio's new LP itself is being set to hit the stores on June 10, 2008, via Concord Records and Starbucks Entertainment. The upcoming record is the follow up to his 2006 highly acclaimed album "Timeless".

Beside preparing to release his new record, Sergio is also planning to hit the road for some short concerts. The Brazilian born musician will kick start his tour on June 20 at the House of Blues, Atlantic City, NJ and wrapped it at the The Wolftrap, Vienna, VA on July 1.
