Setting the movie at the home of country music, Nashville, Tennessee, it shouldn't be a surprise that the movie adaptation of Disney's hit series will be swarmed with country stars. Following earlier report about the joining in of notable country band Rascal Flatts, it is unearthed that the rising country star Taylor Swift will also make a cameo appearance in "Hannah Montana: The Movie".
Confirmation words regarding the matter came straight from the Top New Female Vocalist winner of 2008 Academy of Country Music Awards when she talked to People. "I'm making a cameo so I'm so excited about that. I'm playing one of my own songs and just in the background of one of the scenes," so claimed the songstress. Talking further about her minor role in the movie, the "Our Song" singer said, "I'm just like the bar band, which is kinda fun."
In addition, the 18-year-old chart topper also expressed her excitement in getting a role in "Hannah Montana" stating, "I'm just really excited about it because it's really cool when some of my little fans will come up with a Hannah Montana shirt on, and I want to be like, 'Guess what? I get to be in that movie with her!'" Apart from that, Swift confessed that she could not wait to work with her pal, Miley Cyrus. "Miley Cyrus is awesome. I love her so much. She is so incredibly funny and sweet!" she said. "It's fun to get to see her, because we both have been on the road constantly, and with us both in Nashville now, it will be cool to get to hang out with her."
"Hannah Montana" is a teen comedy flick about a young girl living a double life, as an ordinary teenager Miley Stewart and as a teenage singing sensation Hannah Montana. Bringing the story of "Hannah Montana" series to the next level, the Walt Disney Pictures' film will focus more on Stewart as she deals with her overwhelming success as Hannah and tries to find once again what is really important in life by going back to her hometown of Crowley Corners, Tennessee. Starring Cyrus and supported by Billy Ray Cyrus, Jason Earles, Emily Osment, Mitchel Musso, Vanessa Williams and many more, the film is undergoing its production for its May 5, 2009 release.
