Both rappers will be working with the music channel to do separate new projects that will soon air on the channel.

AceShowbiz - New TV programs are being set to be launched by MTV and on it the music channel will be working with famous names on the Hip-Hop scene. MTV is tapping P. Diddy and 50 Cent for two separate upcoming reality TV shows.

Following the success of his previous "Making the Band", Diddy is set for another reality music project with MTV. The new program won't be that much different from his first reality project, but this time the rapper will try his luck on an area outside his hip-hop background, by embarking on the rock scene.

Diddy's new collaborative work with MTV, which will be called "Making the Rock Band", has a similar plot as "Making the Band" only this time the rapper will be looking to form new rockers rather than R 'n' B or Hip-Hop artists. From his previous project the rapper/producer has managed to create some new groups and musicians, one of them is Danity Kane.

Meanwhile, beside tapping Diddy for a new project, MTV has also asked 50 to work with them for a new reality show which is still being untitled. On the new show, the "In Da Club" rapper will be set to search for the next hip-hop business mogul.

The upcoming show which will center on 16 people living together and competing to finish all of 50's tasks, is being produced by Ish Entertainment. The winner of the untitled show, will be receiving a full scholarship to continue their business study to either undergraduate or graduate program.

Speaking about the new shows plan, MTV's programing head, Tony DiSanto, said "Our main goal is to always pull the rug out. If something is working great, we don't want to do it again, we want to do something new. Our viewers expect us to keep evolving, genre-busting and taking chances."
