The latest 'Indiana Jones' movie has celebrated its first time screening by rolling down its red carpet at the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival on Sunday, May 18.

AceShowbiz - Following the world premiere of the comical "Kung Fu Panda" last Thursday, May 15, the 61st Annual Cannes Film Festival once again became the host to first time screening of another highly anticipated summer movie "Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". On Sunday, May 18, the notable film festival rolled down its red carpet for the flock of celebrities coming down for the premiere event.
Attending the special event were some of "Indiana Jones 4" stars and its filmmakers, director Steven Spielberg and creator George Lucas. The red carpet saw Irina Spalko's depicter Cate Blanchett who looked stunning in a gray Armani dress. It also caught the iconic Indiana Jones himself, actor Harrison Ford, who came accompanied by his partner Calista Flockhart. Adding to the excitement, the rising star Shia LaBeouf who portrays Mutt Williams in the action adventure movie also grazed the red carpet together with the other two.
Though the fourth Indy movie's world premiere didn't bring a unique twist to the red carpet if compared to "Panda", the special event is still a night to be remembered as it was flooded with many Hollywood stars, including Goldie Hawn, Paz Vega, Natalie Portman, Christian Slater, Dennis Hopper and Salma Hayek. Besides the Hollywood big names, other notable personalities, such as Aishwarya Rai, Linda Evangelista, Michael Moore and "X-Men: The Last Stand" helmer Brett Ratner, also made time to come to the premiere. Nearly twenty years after the last theatrical release of the "Indiana Jones" franchise, "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull" is coming into theaters less than four days away on May 22. The new movie marked the come back of the adventurous archaeological professor with a new daring journey of discovering the much wanted legendary object, the Crystal Skull of Akator. Helped with his old and new friends, the whip-cracking hero will race against the Soviet agents led by Spalko to get the valuable items.
