AceShowbiz - The party is still on. Secretly tied the knot in a small ceremony in the Bahamas on April 30, Mariah Carey and her husband Nick Cannon are planning a big blowout. The newlyweds, as reported by Hollyscoop, have rented out Six Flags Magic Mountain in Valencia, C.A. for a "celebratory post-wedding event."
The park will be closed for the public Tuesday, May 13 for Carey and Cannon to hold their private party. No words on the people who are invited to the bash. Further details, as well, remain undisclosed.
In related news, Mariah has appeared on the "Ellen DeGeneres Show", slated to air Tuesday, May 13, to share the details about her recent wedding to Cannon. To the talk show host the pop diva first of all set the record straight on the rumors concerning her wedding ring, telling Ellen "We designed each other's rings."
Used a "video shoot" as camouflage for bringing friends out to her wedding which took place at her Eleuthera home in the Bahamas, which she has just purchased, Mariah noted that very few people were invited. "We were telling everyone it was a video shoot," the songbird told Ellen. "He pretty much did the secretive stuff that I wasn't aware of ... but I did say (to the media) we are doing a video shoot, figuring that we might end up doing that - (getting married)."
She then went on saying, "It wasn't a lot of people because we wanted to be on the beach and we didn't want other people taking pictures. We both experienced the hoopla of trying to make something a publicity stunt, which is what everybody thinks, and will think anyway, but we don't really care about that. Instead of trying to be like, 'You're invited, but, shhh! Don't tell anybody,' we're just going to have another (wedding) next year" adding that "[Nick's] plan is to have one every year."
