Katie Holmes is heading for Broadway, about to make her stage debut playing Ann Deever in the revival of Arthur Miller's "All My Sons" this fall.

AceShowbiz - Is no stranger to starring in big screen movies, Katie Holmes is heading for Broadway. The mother of one reportedly is about to make her stage debut, playing Ann Deever in the revival of Arthur Miller's 1947 play "All My Sons" this fall.

Talks have been abuzz since March that Katie has been considered for the part. And confirmation on that matter has come from the show producer Eric Falkenstein who openly praised Katie as the perfect choice for the part.

"Katie is very well suited for the role of Ann," OK! magazine quoted Eric as saying. "There is an additional layer of soul to Ann and from the work I've seen of Katie, she has always impressed with multi-faceted characters. She would nail it."

Eric, furthermore, went on adding that he feels sure Katie's "star-power won't overshadow her acting ability." "Despite being in the spotlight and her celebrity status, the fact remains that she has a tremendous record of performances," so he said. "I think Katie is a tremendous actor. Whenever she decides to come to the stage she'll be terrific."

Official confirmation on Katie's Broadway debut is expected to be made within the next 10 days. "All My Sons" itself will hit Broadway with a preview in September and open a month later in October.

Katie and her actor husband Tom Cruise recently surprised the cast of Broadway musical "Hairspray" when they attended the stage version of the hit show in New York with their 2-year-old daughter Suri and made a backstage visit afterwards.
