The country singer has recently finished writing and recording a track that will be the opening song for the upcoming truTV series.
A new exciting news comes from Trace Adkins stating that he will be involved on the upcoming TV series titled "Black Gold". The country singer will not be acting on the series but he will have his song as the opener track for the series.
The song which has the same tittle with the series, has been finished in its writing and recording process and is just waiting to be released. The song will be aired for the first time on June 18 the same time as the series' premiere.
Meanwhile, the upcoming show, to be aired on truTV, tells the journey of three drillers who are looking for oil in West Texas. Adkins' background, working in a drilling rigs in the gulf on Mexico, makes him understand more about the story as it was shown on the lyrics of the song.
Commenting about the song, the general manager of truTV Marc Juris said, "Trace knows that the men featured in 'Black Gold' are drilling for oil on our soil, an important but dangerous job, where loss of life or limb is not uncommon. His understanding of these men and what they face really comes through in his lyrics."
Before getting involved in the upcoming series, Adkins has already appeared in another TV program which was in one of the episodes of CBS's "The Young and the Restless". On the soap opera he played as himself and sang a song titled "You're Gonna Miss This".
