Wow, I was just recommending this book to my girlfriend and went online to see if I could find a synopsis and lo-and-behold a film is in the works! Arturo Perez-Reverte has been one of my favorite authors for years, ever since I first read The Flander’s Panel and if this adaptation has even a quarter of the pacing, depth and spectacle of the novel, it’s sure to be fantastic. Definitely looking forward to this! Also, if you’ve never read this book or any Perez-Reverte, this ones a great place to start, the Alatriste series is phenomenal (although slow to be released in English)The Flander’s Panel is likely my favorite and The Club Dumas is a real nail-biter. Great to see Hollywood taking inspiration from not only a great writer, but an international one at that!

How come they never cast Mexican women to play Mexican Women? Catherine Zeta Jones as Zorro's Wife, Jennifer Lopez as Selena, and now Eva Mendes as Teresa Mendoza aka Teresa La MEXICANA. What the hell is wrong with people? These women are very beautiful hispanc women, but they're not Mexican.
