Following the unveiling of the international poster "Babylon A.D.", the 20th Century Fox's forthcoming action movie starring Vin Diesel has its international teaser trailer posted on the net. The so-called French teaser runs for more than a minutes and it is opened with an introduction made by the film's director/co-scribbler Mathieu Kassovitz in French.
After about half a minute introduction made by the depicter of Jewish bomber in "Munich", the trailer begins with a footage showing Thoorop played by Diesel standing under a pouring rain and tilting his head back to feel the falling water on his face before putting on his raincoat's pocho. Then, he wanders of through the heavy rain and the devastated city.
Before Thoorop can be seen getting to his destination, the footage quickly changes to a place where Thoorop sits behind a desk and dunks in when suddenly an explosion erupts from behind him. The trailer further continues with a series of clips exposing the heavy actions the movie will have. The teaser can be seen below or on "Babylon" trailer page at AceShowbiz.
Coming from the director of horror thriller "Gothika", "Babylon" is a sci-fi action film about a military veteran-turned-mercenary who is hired to accompany and protect a woman in a trip from Russia to China. Unknown to him, the woman is used to be the host of genetically modified Messiah. Based on Maurice G. Dantec's French novel, the film set for August 29 release is starred by Diesel, Michelle Yeoh and Gerard Depardieu among others.
